Rules of Engagement - Food & Liquor Vendors MUST READ
- The Multicultural Music Festival will only allow 12 food vendors under a tent and 6 food trucks in 2024 (to make sure everybody does well).
- With your registration fee you get access to power and water (for food vendors operating under a tent)
- with your registration fee you get 40 amps of power distributed in 4 standard us plugs food trucks get to be hooked by city in most cases but please bring your self contained trucks with water and fuel).
- With your registration fee you get a 3 compartment sink as per AHS regulations and a printed menu (we need this menu sent to us no later than 2 weeks before the festival if not sent you will be in charge of your own menu
- we encourage food vendors to use propane as their main source of power any extra power needed will be charged at City of Calgary electrical services pricing (very expensive)
- There is a split on your sales 80% for you - 20% for The Multicultural Music Festival This means you will receive 80% of your sales and The Multicultural Music Festival keeps 20% to cover some of the production costs of the event. Most food vendors increase their prices 10 to 15% and that way they barely feel the split cost.
- There is a booth fee for the 3 days. Food vendors under a tent cost $900, food trucks $800, and liquor vendors $800.
- You will receive 2 Moneris terminals assigned to you to process all payments; You can also receive printed tickets that are available for the few patrons that don’t have credit or debit card.
- Every night once the day is over you are required to go to our info tent to account for your sales and sign off our sales sheet.
- 3 days after the event is over your cheque will be ready for pick up at our offices or to be sent by mail (if you prefer).
- With a split on the tickets we are partners this means if you do well, we do well. That is why we will invest in a very strong marketing plan to make sure the event is successful in every way. You are also encouraged to help promote the event and share content via your media channels
- We will print and install your menu sign before your arrival
- Food vendor spaces come with a 10x10 marquee style tent a 8 foot banquet table and 2 chairs
- Food vendor spaces come with a 3 compartment sink (might be shared with your neighbor) with cold and hot water as per AHS regulations
